Jio Studios &Drishyam Films' 'Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi' to be screened at the Jio MAMI 21stMumbai Film Festival 2019!

Headlining a new brand of entertainment and born out of love for cinema, Jio Studios and Drishyam Films respectively aim to build a platform for content-driven films packed with Indian flavour. The former has been fronting some very eye-catching content, while the latter is one of the fastest-growing production banners in the Hindi film industry. This year, Jio Studios and Drishyam Films are proud to showcase their highly anticipated film, 'Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi' at the coveted Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival scheduled from the 17th to the 24th of October 2019.

An ambitious collaboration of Jio Studios and Drishyam Films, 'Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi' will have its world premiere in the Spotlight section at MAMI with a red carpet launch to be attended by the cast and crew. To celebrate the news, the makers have also released the first look of the film.

Featuring a phenomenal ensemble cast, with the likes of ofNaseeruddin Shah, SupriyaPathak, KonkonaSen Sharma, ParambrataChatterjee, VinayPathak, Vikrant Massey and ManojPahwa among others, the film revolves around a family that comes together for 13 days after the head of the family – Bauji passes away.

A veteran actor of the Hindi TV and film industry, SeemaPahwa has enthralled audiences with her award-winning performances in recent hits like ShubhMangalSaavdhan and Bareilly kiBarfi. On donning the director's hat to helm the comedy-drama, she says: "I am so honoured to have my directorial debut make its world premiere at the prestigious Mumbai International Film Festival, among some of the best films that Indian cinema has to offer. From acting to writing and directing, it has been a long fulfilling journey and I am grateful to my producers Drishyam Films and Jio Studios for having faith in my story. I am very excited to start this journey by showing our labour of love to the incredible audience at MAMI."

Drishyam Films and Jio Studios have partnered for two Hindi films, Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi releasing on the 22nd of November 2019, directed by SeemaPahwa and starring Naseeruddin Shah, SupriyaPathak, KonkanaSensharma, Vikrant Massey, VinayPathak, ParambrataChatterjee, ManojPahwa, Brijendra Kala, Sarika Singh, YaminiSengupta among others; and Aadhaar releasing on the 6th of December 2019, directed by SumanGhosh, starring Viineet Kumar, Prrithvi, SanjaiMishra, SaurabhShukla and Ishteyak Khan, which will be making its world premiere soon at the Busan International Film Festival 2019. A third Marathi feature, Ghaath directed by debutant ChhatrapalNinawe and starring Jitendra Joshi, is slated for a spring 2020 release.
