Jackky Bhagnani's Choodiyan sees tutting star Dytto in her Indian best
The highly anticipated festival banger Choodiyan is out now to spice up our festival cheer. The track has been making news for roping in the international popping and tutting sensation Dytto in her first-ever Indian music video. The video sees her grooving alongside actor Jackky Bhagnani. With the festival season in full swing this month and the next, Bhagnani is featured in the first music video under his music label Just Music. The label's previous releases were the Alia Bhatt led Prada and Takeda Rawan with Vishal Mishra.
Their latest, Choodiyan, is a groovy number that carries the traditional Indian flavour but has a contemporary twist to it as well. Composed by Tanishq Bagchi, the track is sung by Dev Negi and Asees Kaur in what promises to be played on loop at festival gatherings and clubs alike.
The video has many grand moments that will set dance floors on fire. On her foray into the country's entertainment space, Dytto says, "I'm very excited about this collaboration! Ever since my parents have been in India, I have wanted to work here and Jackky Bhagnani came to me with an offer I couldn't refuse. The culture and the music of India are extremely full of life and this song Choodiyan perfectly depicts that. The song is happy, it's fun and it will make you want to dance."
Under Mudassar Khan's direction, Choodiyan has the right blend of contemporary settings and a traditional festive feel. The American dancing sensation Dytto is light-footed in a dazzling lehenga, as she grooves smoothly to Indian beats. Jackky is seen classing it up in a black outfit, complete with a leather jacket and a charming smile. Their electrifying chemistry between the two only adds to the song's upbeat rhythm and glamour.
"After Kamariyan last year, I knew we had to up our game and give people something that is both uniquely surprising yet true to the festival spirit. With a global icon like Dytto in the song, we have attempted to make it cross-cultural, breaking all boundaries. We hope people love the song for more than just its dance merit.", says Jackky Bhagnani.
