‘I Boycotted The Awards’ Says Abhay Deol Slamming Bollywood For Lobbying Against Him

After the sudden demise of Bollywood's young actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the discussions on topics such as 'Depression' and 'Lobbying In Bollywood' have raised and created a buzz on social media. Actors like Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor have come up with a few posts and created an awareness among their fans regarding 'Depression' and how to come over it.

Coming to the second topic, we have already seen B-Town actress Kangana Ranaut raised her voice by dropping a video. Now, it's the turn of Abhay Deol… He also raised his voice and came up with an Instagram post which explains to us how he was been lobbied… Have a look!

In this video, Abhay posted a pic from his hit movie 'Zindagi Na Milenge Doobara' which shows off Hrithik Roshan, Abhay and Farhan discussing something serious. He also added a note beside the post which says, "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", released in 2011. Need to chant this title to myself everyday nowadays! Also, a great watch when anxious or stressed.

I would like to mention that almost all the award functions demoted me and Farhan from main leads, and nominated us as "supporting actors". Hrithik and Katrina were nominated as "actors in a leading role". So by the industry's own logic, this was a film about a man and a woman falling in love, with the man supported by his friends for whatever decisions he takes.

There are many covert and overt ways in which people in the industry lobby against you. In this case, it was shamelessly overt. I, of course, boycotted the awards but Farhan was ok with it.

Zindagi Na Milenge Doobara is an adventurous movie which featured Hrithik, Abhay and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles. Kalki and Katrina essayed female lead roles and added glamour to this Bollywood movie. It was released in 2011 and minted in millions at ticket windows.
