Generating Hate: Instagrammers troll Rakhi Sawant
One of the Instagram user commented, "You are suitable for Pakistani citizenship, Ms Rakhi 'Pakistani' Sawant."
NEW DELHI: The Bollywood celebrity Rakhi Sawant has found herself to be part of a controversy yet again. On her Instagram account she shared a picture of herself with the Pakistan flag, followed by a caption which said, "I love my India but its my character in the film Dhara 370."
And as always, the picture had gained the attention of trolls, who ripped her apart for choosing to pose with a Pakistani flag. One of the Instagram user commented, "You are suitable for Pakistani citizenship, Ms Rakhi 'Pakistani' Sawant." While several others have threatened to unfollow her.
In a video Rakhi had clarified that she was portraying a Pakistani girl in Dhara 370. She also said that all the citizens of Pakistan were not bad and she really respected them.
"Main logon ko yeh batana chahti hoon ki main ek Pakistani ladki dikhayi gayi hoon. Pakistan ke logon ke seene mein bhi dil hota hai. Bohot pyaare hote hai. Sab bure nahi hote hai. Kuch log jo jihad karwate hai bachchon se, jo apne hi desh, mulk aur kaum ke khilaaf hote hai, jo Allah ke khilaaf bhi hote hai, jo human bomb banate hai... Main Pakistan ki bohot respect karti hoon, unke logon ki respect karti hoon," she said in her video.
"Kuch log hai jo Kashmiriyon ko, Hindustaniyon ko border paar karwate hai, unki madad karte hai, kyunki woh bohot nek aur Allah ke bande hai. Main unki bohot izzat karti hoon aur sab bure nahi hote. Har desh mein koi na koi caste mein koi bura toh hota hi hai, jo Allah ke khilaaf aur ishwar ke khilaaf jaata hai," the actress added.
