Busiest and biggest of Bollywood heroes - Big B!

Amitabh Bachchan is known as the biggest star of Indian Cinema ever. Even though there were likes of Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna who became huge stars during their peak, the domination levels of Big B after breaking box office with Zanjeer and Sholay was something else.

His films like Don, Laawaris, Sharabhi ran for 175 days and 300 days in South Regional film dominated markets too. Those people who did not know Hindi or even understand it, they used to flock to theatres to just see him. In one of his films, he delivered dialogue in six different languages and everyone cheered at the top of their lungs when they heard him in their mother tongue.

The run his films got, the kind of aura he carried on-screen and off as well, he is just one of the rare phenomenons that evolved with time. He started as a junior artiste, did character roles in Anand kind of films but when he burst onto the screen, he compelled even legends to follow him.

When his successors took over, mainly Khans, he is still maintaining decent edge on them and a great career as supporting lead and at times lead. He received many awards and rewards. He would receive Dada Saheb Phalke Award from Indian Government soon.

On his birthday, we just wish him all the health and luck in finding truly great characters further to entertain us. It is never over with Big B ever, he came back with KBC once and he may turn around and produce another Paa or Cheeni Kum when we are least expecting. Happy Birthday, Big B!
