Tora Cabs to unveil app-based services in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Toracabs Technology Services Private Limited, a New Delhi-based technology company, on Thursday announced the launch of Tora Cabs, an app-based ride hailing platform in Hyderabad.

At present, the mobile application is available for drivers to sign in. However for the riders, the service will be accessible only by next 45 days.

Tora Cabs will be introducing rentals, last mile rides and outstation service at a price of Rs 39 for first three kms, after which the rider will be charged Rs 8 per km. This however varies depending upon the vehicle variant.

In the next 90 days, Tora Cab will also come with the share service. 'In a period of two week of introducing our service in the city, we have onboarded over 1,500 drivers.

Within two months we expect 4,000 drivers to sign up. For the convenience of the riders, we will be coming with the share service only after having a sizeable number of drivers,' Director for Marketing TTSPL, Kavita Bhaskaran Ravi told the media here.

Betting on no commission for drivers and zero surge of prices for riders, the tech company plans to sustain on levying a usage fee of Rs 199 per day for the drivers.

TTSPL is formed under a joint venture partnership with a Korean trading company named TS Korea. Under this SB Shin representing TS Korea holds the Directors position at TTSPL.
