Budget 2019: Pollution to be tackled via ambitious e-vehicle, clean cooking projects

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government has approved a budget of Rs 10,000 crore to promote electric vehicles. Additionally, the government is also looking to promote clean cooking and greenhouses.

The Minister said a budget of Rs 10,000 crore has been approved on April 1 2019, to make adoption of electric vehicles faster.

30,000 km roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna using green material, including plastic waste is also a possibility.
