Reddy founded Ark Group on a modest scale and with a small contract of Rs 1.5 lakh. The group has grown manifolds over the years with presence in real estate and construction of infrastructure for industrial and commercial use. It also built premises for several established engineering colleges.

The group is into agriculture as well, especially organic cultivation. The group will unveil its Vision 2030 later this week to mark its 30th anniversary celebrations.

"Real estate projects account for 50 per cent of our business and infrastructure development projects make up the remaining 50 per cent.

Going forward, we will focus more on infrastructure projects in addition to diversifying into construction-related activities where we have no presence now," Reddy explained.

Ark executed several real estate projects in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Besides, it has undertaken construction contracts in AP, Telangana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Goa and Karnataka. It plans to go national in this space.

G Meghna, group's CEO, said Ark will employ more people as it grows. "We have 100 people working for us now. We expect this to increase to over 2,000 people when our turnover touches Rs 5,000 crore. We owe our success to our employees and loyal customers," she said.

Sarala Gummi, Director, Ark Group, underlined the need for taking up organic cultivation to reduce food contamination. She looks after Sarag Agro Farms, a part of the group.
