'83% milk non-consumers protein deficient'

Hyderabad: As many as 83 per cent of people who don't consume milk suffer from protein deficiency, reveals a survey commissioned by city-based Creamline Dairy Products.

The dairy firm, a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet Limited, on Tuesday unveiled the 'South India Protein Gap'- a knowledge report.

The report was launched by nutritionist Dr Dharini Krishnan, K Bhasker Reddy, Managing Director, and Raj Kanwar, CEO, Creamline Dairy Products Limited, which markets dairy products under Jersey brand.

Godrej Jersey appointed Karvy Insights to understand the current ecosystem which includes farmers, processors, consumers, and study the potential role of dairy products.
