Kakinada: Former MLA and TDP senior leader Jyothula Nehru said that anarchy is prevailed in education sector in the state as the government failed to disburse scholarships and arrears of fee reimbursement to students.

Speaking to media at party office here on Friday, he accused Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of hoodwinking the people through his much published 'Amma Vodi' scheme. Out of 85 lakh beneficiaries, he alleged the scheme was extended only to 43 lakhs only. Nehru said the education standards have touched the nadir and little children have been deprived of milk for last three months in Anganwadi centres.

He said the volunteer system introduced in villages was only to benefit the YSRC partymen and alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy also diverted the Central government funds for his pet projects. He criticised the government for withholding pensions for over 6 lakh elderly people in the state. Nehru warned that he would organise a protest at District Collectorates in the event of non-sanction of pensions to deprived beneficiaries in the state.

Former Home Minister Nimmakayala China Rajappa said that BJP Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao has been colluding with Jagan government and doing great injustice to the Amaravati people by supporting the three capitals proposal. Former MLA Vanamadi Venkateswar Rao (Kondababu) was present.
