YSRCP govt foisting false cases on TDP activists in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The leaders of TDP led by MP Kesineni Srinivas met Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. They submitted a representation to the Governor alleging that the State government was harassing leaders of Opposition parties with false cases.

Kesineni Srinivas said that the State government was suppressing the voice of Opposition parties. False cases were being booked against the TDP leaders, he said. Elaborating on their complaint, the TDP leaders said former State Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao had committed suicide after false cases were booked against him and due to the harassment by the State government.

The TDP leaders also pointed out that the State government foisted false cases against the Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Ranga University. The case was booked against the Vice-Chancellor with a selfish motive. They wondered as to how the police could arrest a Vice-Chancellor based on false complaints.

The TDP leaders also regretted that sincere officers were being harassed with false cases. They also brought to the notice of the Governor that the YSR Congress leaders were indulging in attacks on TDP leaders and workers. The law and order situation was bad in the State.

The TDP leaders pointed out that Y S Jagan's government did not take up any construction during the last four months except demolishing various structures and cancelling schemes.

MLCs B Arjunudu, P Ashok Babu, AS Ramakrishna, Y Rajendra Prasad, P Sunita and several other leaders were among those who met the Governor.
