CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to attend celestial wedding at Antarvedi

Kakinada: District collector D Muralidhar Reddy stated that in view of the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Antarvedi, all the district officials should coordinate and cooperate for the success of the event.

Accompanied by superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi and sub-collector Himanshu Kaushik, he convened a review meeting with officials on Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyana Mahotsavam on Friday. He said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would attend the event and security arrangements will be made during his visit. He said that on eve of Ratha Saptami, the deities will be taken in procession on Surya Vahanam. With this event, the Kalyana Mahostavam will commence.

The collector said that the festival will start in Antarvedi with Surya Prabha Vahana, Dhupa Seva and Mudrikalankarana Sevas on February 19. He said that the Swami Teppostavam will be conducted on February 28. He suggested that officials from Kakinada and Peddapuram divisions should be assigned duties on deputation as and when required. He directed the officials to take special measures with regard to coronavirus. In view of the pilgrims coming to witness that divine event, special protective measures should be taken in view of the prevalent coronavirus. Due to the panchayat elections, the officials should observe the election code. He said that for the event 130 RTC buses will be operated to Antarvedi. He also complimented officials for the making of the new chariot.
