Youth told to emulate Ambedkar
Kakinada: Rich tributes were paid to Dr BR Ambedkar on his 128 birth anniversary on Sunday at the programme organised at JNTU-K. Addressing the gathering at the seneate hall in the university campus, Vice-Chancellor Prof M Ramalinga Raju termed him as a great social reformer who strived for upliftment of the downtrodden.
The V-C also termed Baba Saheb as a great humanist who fought for social equality and social justice. The V-C called upon the youth to emulate his ideals. University registrar Prof VV Subba Rao, rector I Santi Prabha, JNTU-K campus engineering college principal P Subba Rao also hailed the services of Dr Ambedkar to the nation in the form of writing the Indian Constitution besides service to mankind.
