Work hard to achieve aspired goals: Collector G Veera Pandiyan to students

Kurnool: District Collector G Veera Pandiyan said every student should determine what they want to be in future and pursue education with dedication to reach their aspired goal.

The Collector had an interaction with the students of BC boy's hostel at Brahamanakotkur in Nandikotkur mandal on Friday morning. He made a surprise visit to the hostel on Thursday night and had a night halt in the hostel.

While interacting with the students on Friday, Pandiyan said he also hails from poor family and had education by staying in hostel. At the age of 13 years while pursuing 8th standard had determined to become Collector.

He further said that the government will provide facilities in the hostel like, fans, lights and plates. He asked the students to study hard and achieve cent percent result at the ensuing Tenth Class exams.

The collector enquired about the school and note books, uniform, shoes, cosmetic charges, sports material with the welfare wardens. In reply, the wardens said that they have not received books on maths, science and social studies.

Cosmetic charges were also not given to them, they said. The Collector directed the Project Director of Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan (SSA) to immediately supply the material.

Project Director of Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan (SSA), Tilak Vidya Sagar, Mandal Education Officer (MEO), Jeeva Rathna, Assistant Backward Caste Welfare (ABCW) Officer, Lakshmi Devi, Welfare Hostel Warden, Israil Raj and others accompanied the Collector.
