Westberry students excel in rope skipping

Students of Westberry High School who excelled in rope skipping with principal G Sunita in Bhimavaram on Friday

Bhimavaram: Students of Westberry High School here excelled in rope skipping by winning medals at the state-level and selected for nationals, according to the school principal, G Sunita.

As many as 13 students from the school participated in AP Rope Skipping Championship held at Kotalam in Chittoor district on September 9 and 10. They won 21 gold medals, four silver medals, three bronze and three individual championship medals.

A total of nine students secured a chance to participate in National Skipping Championship to be held at Shirdi from September 21 to 23. A felicitation function was held in the school to mark the occasion on Friday. Director Mahesh Kumar wished the students to bring many more medals for the school.
