Yanamala Rama Krishnudu speaking to Media on Wednesday

The leader of opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, Yanamala Rama Krishnudu said that the government vehemently opposed the repeal of the pending CRDA Act and the decentralization bills from moving to the Select Committee. He told the media on Wednesday that it was unconstitutional to bring back old bills without any amendments.

The government has been working on capital change from scratch. It is a complete opposition to the referendum. It was inappropriate to pass bills for second time and send them back to council. Recall that the AG told the court that there was a bill at the Select Committee, Yanamala commented that they know how to block the bill in the council.

Earlier on the Tuesday as part of Assembly meetings, the government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced two crucial bills, repeal of AP Capital Regional Development Authority (APCRDA) and decentralisation of administration for creating three capitals for Andhra Pradesh. The bills were passed unanimously by voice vote and will be sent to the council today.

The TDP has issued the whip to its members in the Council to vote against the three capital bill. It remains to be seen how the house proceedings would run today.
