Vizianagaram: Students appear for exams at 66 centres in Vizianagaram dist
Vizianagaram: Intermediate examinations began on Wednesday under strict monitoring. First year exams started on Wednesday and the second year exams will begin on Thursday.
The Board of Intermediate Education has set up 66 exam centres all over Vizianagaram district. In all, 28,438 first year students and 22,828 second year students have taken hall tickets for the exams.
The question papers were stored in 29 strong rooms while 10 sitting squads and flying squads were deployed to monitor the exams. K Manjula Veena, Regional Inspection Officer for Board of Intermediate Education, stated that they have visited the exams centres and monitored the facilities.
The officials of the Board were keeping a close vigil on centres where there is scope for mass copying. The staff have been instructed to take measures to prevent any irregularities. Drinking water and toilets were ensured at the centres.
Students belonging to the rural areas reached towns a day in advance to avoid last minute inconvenience.
