Vizianagaram: MVGR conducts awareness programme on PMEGP

Vizianagaram: MVGR College of Engineering conducted an awareness programme on the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme in collaboration with Khadi and Village Industries Commission. To educate the children regarding Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme, R Srinivasa Rao, Assistant Director, Khadi Village Industries, shared the details of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises and motivated the students towards entrepreneurship.

S Narasinga Rao, Deputy Director, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Vizianagaram, explained success stories of new entrepreneur in utilising government schemes and subsidies under PMEGP. He also explained functioning of Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

Amani Priyadarshini, Industrial Promotion Officer, small scale industry, Vizianagaram, stressed the need to explore the government websites to know the eligibility of getting financial assistance from banks, loans, land and how to apply and register in PMEGP Programme. She anticipated the change in students towards job seeking to become entrepreneur and also emphasized the need of students to learn about Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises, startup and standup schemes.

MVGR student dean Mohan Kumar congratulated the students who attended the programme.
