Vizianagaram: Government to Build a Project To Provide Drinking Water to All households

Vizianagaram: The state government is determined to provide fresh water to all households in the state. As part of this, the government has begun to utilize water from available irrigation reservoirs.

There is no proper supply of drinking water to the people of the district. On the other hand, thousands of cusecs of water flown to the ocean. There are 16 TMC of water flowing through the Nagavali river alone, at least 4TMC are not utilized.

The government has directed officials to design a permanent project to meet the drinking water needs of the people of the district. Also, it is suggested to exercise only purified water.

The report on the Clean Water Project prepared on the advice of Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, some changes were made and sent on Friday.

"Once the government approves the funds, tenders will be finalized, and work will begin. The government's goal is to get it done by 2021.

We have completed the process on time on the instructions of the Collector." Said Ravi Kumar Section Engineer Vizianagaram.
