Vizag Navy Marathon to be held on November 17

Visakhapatnam: In a statement, Eastern Naval Command (ENC) Atul Kumar Jain said the sixth edition of Vizag Navy Marathon would be conducted on November 17 early morning on Vizag-Bheemili beach road.

The Marathon will be held in four categories Courgae run (Full Marathon 42.1 km), Destiny run (Half Marathon 21.1 km), Friendship run (10 km), Run for Fun (5 km).

The event will begin at the Vishnu Priya function hall on the beach road and continue with the coastal line till GITAM college and concludes with the return back to the starting point (Vishnu Priya hall)

He said that the Vizag Marathon is entirely different from the other marathon which happens in other parts of the country. It's expected that more than 18,000 people will participate in the Sunday run, including international runners.

Dr. Mohan Maharaj from Care Hospital, Commodore Rajesh Debnat, commanding officer of INS Kalinga, race director Dr. Muralidhar Nannapaneni, Command Sports officer Captain Animesh Nagar, city runner B K Rai, P Ramana from You Too Can Run, and Rajesh Gopalkrishnan from Novotel launched the event log here in the city.
