Visakhapatnam: Sankar Eye Hospital opens new branch in Maddilapalem

Visakhapatnam: To cater to the needy and make the treatment facility more accessible to people of Visakhapatnam and neighbouring districts, Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital has opened another branch in Maddilapalem area in the city.

With amenities such as two operation theatres and diagnostic equipments to treat general ophthalmology, cataract and other seasonal eye problems, the new branch at Pithapuram Colony, Maddilapalem was inaugurated by VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, managing trustee and CEO of the Foundation K B N Manimala said the Foundation was making untiring efforts to eradicate avoidable blindness not only in North Coastal Andhra but also in neighbouring places like Odisha. She thanked chairman of INOX Leisure for extending support to the foundation for the past three years to the tune of Rs 2.46 crore as a part of their CSR initiatives.

VMRDA Chairman appreciated the services rendered by the Sankar Foundation and reaching out to the needy through health camps.

Regional director south, INOX Leisure Mohith Bhargav expressed satisfaction over the community eye care services offered by the foundation.
