Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam airports resume domestic flights
A day later after the domestic air services started across the country, the Andhra Pradesh state has also resumed its services on Tuesday morning after a two-month hiatus. With the services begun from Gannavaram and Visakhapatnam airports, passengers are arriving in large numbers. The passengers are allowed only after the thermal screening and sanitization has been done and ensured that they had followed the physical distance.
The Staff also attended the functions in special protective clothing. Flights from Gannavaram to Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai, and from Visakhapatnam to Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad will be operated.
A flight has already taken off from Bangalore to Gannavaram Airport. Officials are running special buses for passengers arriving at the airport to shift them to quarantine. Gannavaram airport director Madhusudan Rao advised passengers to arrive at the airport two hours early. On the other hand, 114 passengers traveled from Bangalore to Vishakhapatnam who are taken to special centers in RTC buses to conduct screening tests. They will be moved to Home Quarantine after the Swab Collection.
Despite the air services has begun across the country on Monday, the Andhra Pradesh state has halted the services and begun the services today.
