Vijayawada: Vasavya Nursing Home celebrates golden jubilee

Vijayawada: The golden jubilee celebrations of the Vasavya Nursing Home were celebrated in a grand manner here on Saturday.

The Nursing Home has completed 50 years of its existence on March 14. It had not only provided medical services to people of the region but also tried to cure societal ailments. The nursing home conducted several medical camps in which a number of surgeries were performed.

The Nursing Home which was started with inspiration from the social reformer couple Gora and Saraswati Gora had been striving to remove superstitions in the society and bringing awareness among people on the importance of health.

Several people congratulated Dr G Samaram and his sister G Maru and the other medical staff on the occasion. They celebrated the golden jubilee function by cutting a cake.
