Vijayawada: Mastan Baba Urs from March 12

Vijayawada: Arrangements are being made for the successful conduct of Mastan Baba Urs in Guntur from March 12 to 16. Thousands of devotees from Guntur, Krishna and other districts will attend the Urs festival in Guntur. Trustee of Mastan Baba Dargah (known as Nalla Mastanaiah Dargah) Ravi Rammohan on Monday invited Syed Jareef Chisti, priest of Afghanistan.

Speaking to media, Ravi Rammohan said the Urs would begin with Chandini decoration and procession will start at 11 pm. He said Deeparadhana will be performed on March 13 at 5 pm. Free meals will be served on March 15. The Urs celebrations will be completed on March 16 with performing various spiritual and cultural activities. He said Afghanistan priest Syes Jareef Chisti would participate in the Urs celebrations and added that medical camp will be arranged for the devotees for four days near Dargah.
