Vijayawada: Ramesh Hospitals' branch situated at Guntur has got the Joint Commission International's (JCI) Gold Seal of approval for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its internationally-recognised standards. The Gold Seal of approval is a symbol of quality that reflects an organisation's commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.

Dr P Ramesh Babu, Chief Cardiologist and Managing Director, talking to newsmen here on Saturday, said the Guntur Branch of Ramesh Hospitals underwent a rigorous on-site survey between January 20 and 24 in which a team of JCI expert surveyors from the USA evaluated compliance with 1199 hospital standards related to a variety of areas, including the International Patient Safety goals, patient assessment and care, anesthesia and surgical care among others.

Ramesh Hospitals group, established in 1988, has many firsts to its credit starting with Limca Book of World Records in 1998 for 99.8 per cent success in cardiac surgeries to the latest Guinness Book of World Record achieved in November 2019. JCI is the latest addition to earlier signature accreditations like National Board of Accreditation for Hospitals and Healthcare Organisations (NABH), National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL), Pharmacy De Qualite certification from Bureau Veritas.
