Vijayawada: Dr Mahboob Shaik elected to Dental Council of India

Vijayawada: Dr Mahaboob Shaik, Professor and well known surgeon in facial surgery, has been elected as the member of the Dental Council of India from Andhra Pradesh.

Registrar of the Dr NTR University of Health sciences, Dr Sankar announced that Dr Mahaboob has been elected to the DCI and handed over the papers.

Professors working under the purview of the NTR University of Health Sciences elected Dr Mahaboob unanimously to the coveted post.

Two other candidates in the fray Dr Sahitya and Dr Muralimohan withdrew their nominations. As a result, Dr Mahaboob was elected unanimously. Dr Mahaboob is the native of Sattenapalli, Guntur district and studied BDS and MDS in Bengaluru.

Later, he studied higher education in Royal College of Surgeons, England. He joined the Government service in Andhra Pradesh in 2002 and worked as professor, HOD in Vijayawada. He thanked the professors, assistant professors, doctors and others who helped him to get elected to the Dental Council of India.
