Vijayawada: Disclose contents of memorandum to Modi, Yanamala asks Jagan
Vijayawada: Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Thursday wondered why Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not placing in the public domain the memorandum he had submitted to the Prime Minister.
What fear is coming in the way of disclosing the contents of the memorandum, he asked.
Speaking to media persons here, he said it is the right of Opposition parties and people to know the contents of the memorandum. He demanded that the government reveal the outcome of the Chief Minister's meeting.
Numerous visits to Delhi did not achieve much desired results. It is believed, he claimed, the Prime Minister had questioned the Chief Minister about the latter's undemocratic decisions.
Ramakrishnudu further claimed that the Prime Minister is said to have questioned the Chief Minister on the alleged misuse of NREGS funds as the State government has been allotting funds to new works given to its followers without clearing pending bills for the works done earlier.
He said that there was a drastic downturn of the State economy. The image of the State was also damaged at Davos meeting due to attitude of State government towards industrialists. The three-capital decision is also discouraging industrialists to invest in the STate.
The KIA industry is also facing difficulties. The ruling party leaders are resorting to land grabbing in Visakhapatnam. An inquiry should be conducted on the land grabbing, he demanded.
Regarding abolition of Legislative Council, it is not in the hands of the State government. A resolution in this regard is to be passed in Parliament.
