Vijayawada: Cops conduct counselling for history rowdy-sheeters
Vijayawada: The city police conducted counselling for rowdy-sheeters in Ajit Singh Nagar and Nunna police stations on Sunday and warned them of severe consequences if they indulge in nefarious activities and other crimes.
On the instructions of Commissioner of Police B Srinivasulu, the inspectors of the two police stations conducted counselling for 44 and 47 rowdy-sheeters in their respective police stations. After the brutal group clash in Patamata nearly three weeks ago, the city police are keeping a close vigil on the history sheeters and their movements. It may be noted that one rowdy-sheeter Sandeep Thota died in the violent clash with his rival Pandu in Patamata after a dispute broke out in a property settlement case.
The two gangs involved in the bloody war in a residential area creating panic among the residents.
The incident created a sensation in the state and DGP D Gautam Sawang reacted very seriously and asked the city police to crush the anti-social elements with iron hand.
Nunna Circle Inspector P Prabhakar said the cops under the police station limits of Nunna always keep vigil on the anti-social elements particularly the rowdies and other criminals who have history-sheet.
