Vijayawada: Collector Md Imtiaz participates in thanksgiving gesture
Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Md Imtiaz, Joint Collector K Madhavi Latha, Municipal Commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh and other officials thanked the medical teams, volunteers and police personnel for their dedicated services to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the district.
The collector and other officials clapped more than five minutes at the camp office on Sunday evening to extend gratitude and moral support to the teams, which are working 24x7 to check the spread of dreaded Coronavirus, which spread in many parts of India. Vijayawada is under scan and the city is put on high alert after the first Corona positive case reported in the city.
A 24-year-old student returned from Paris and reached Vijayawada city via New Delhi and Hyderabad was infected with Coronavirus. The district administration extended Section 144 section till March 31. Speaking on the occasion, the collector said it is our social responsibility to extend support and gratitude to the police, doctors and paramedical teams and volunteers for their great dedicated services to the nation and the people of Andhra Pradesh.
The collector said it is the social responsibility of every individual to maintain distance and not to attend events like marriages and other functions till normalcy is restored. He suggested the people to maintain personal hygiene and wash their hands with sanitizers.
