Vijayawada: Blood stem cell donation camp organised

Vijayawada: National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of SRK Institute of technology in Association with the Datri Blood stem cell donors registry and Vivekananda Youth Trust (VYT) organized an awareness programme on importance of blood stem cell donation, and types of blood disorders at Adama India Private Limited branch office at Kanuru in Vijayawada.

The NSS Programme officer S Sudheer Kumar, VYT Volunteer Venkatesh created awareness on the importance of blood stem cell donation stating that the patients suffering with various blood disorders, Thalasemia get benefit out of this blood stem cell donation camp.

SRK Institute of technology Principal Dr M Ekambaram Naidu said the awareness programme will be very useful to the patients suffering from various blood related ailments. NSS programme officer Sudheer Kumar said Datri as NGO created a platform to donate the blood to the patients from their four lakh plus registries. Datri co-ordinator Hari Krishna explained the importance of blood stem cell donation to save the lives of other people particularly suffering from serious ailments.

As many as 126 employees of Adama India private Limited registered and gve saliva sampls in the blood stem cell donation driver. College chairman B S Apparao, secretary BS Sri Krishna congratulated the NSS Unit for organizing the camp.
