Vijayasai Reddy urges centre to set up five Vistadome Coaches for Visakhapatnam-Araku train
YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has appealed to the Railway Minister to set up five Vistadome coaches in addition to the tourist train that runs between Visakhapatnam and Araku. Speaking in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday (Special Mention), he said that Visakhapatnam district has become a haven for tourists with beaches, caves, waterfalls and ghats. The district of Visakha is famous for the East Coast. Vistadome Coach is one of the attractions of the region. The Vistadome coach, which is currently connected to the Visakhapatnam-Araku Valley Railway is now considered as a tourist train and a favourite destination for tourists, he said.
He said that the Vistadome coach, which has been specially designed for tourists to view the landscape through the mirrors, is a popular destination for tourists to view the magnificent green forests, valleys and tunnels spread across the Eastern Ghats. Despite the unimaginable demand for the immensely popular Vistadome coach, the fact that there is only one coach for the train.
Vistadome coach has a long waiting list for travel tickets every day. Against this backdrop, the Visakhapatnam-Arakula train needs to accommodate at least five more Vistadome coaches as soon as possible to cater to the needs of tourists. The addition of Vistadome coaches gives the tourism industry a boost. Vijayasai Reddy said that the railways is also a revenue earner. For these reasons, he appealed to the Railway Minister to take adequate measures to establish five additional Vistadome coaches.
