Two women died, five injured in gas cylinder blast in Guntur district

Guntur: In a tragic incident, two women died and five people were injured in a gas cylinder blast at a house at NTR Nagar colony in Chilakaluripet of Guntur district on Tuesday.

This incident happened while repairing the gas stove. A woman Adi Lakshmi has brought a new gas cylinder today. In order to give the gas connection to the stove, she called the neighbour Divya.

While they were repairing the gas stove, the cylinder exploded. With the impact of the blast, the roof of the house collapsed, where Divya and Adi Lakshmi died on the spot. Another five, who were in the house sustained severe injuries. The victims were rushed to a local government hospital, where two are said to be in a critical position.
