Sri Venkateshwara Dharmika Sadassu at Tirumala
The Sri Venkateswara Dharmic Conference started with grandeur at Tirumala Asthana Mandapam on Saturday.
Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, Chairman TTD Trust Board, delivered the opening speech. He said that it has been decided to hold the Dharmika Sadas to take the Sanatana Hindu dharma prachara to the people in a greater way with the suggestions of the abbots and prefects.
He said that during his first tenure as the chairman, he organized religious meetings twice and took the instructions and suggestions of the prelates and abbots and organized programs like Dalit Govindam, Matsya Govindam and Girijana Govindam and brought the Lord to the hands of the devotees. He said that projects are being carried out in the names of Annamacharya, Purandardasa, Kanaka Dasa and Tarigonda Vengamamba, who served the Lord with Sankirtanas. He recalled that when he was the first chairman, SVBC channel was established with the instructions of Swamiji and started a new chapter of Dharma Prachara. Vedic University was established for the preservation of Vedas. Karunakara Reddy appealed to Swamiji that the TTD is being attacked by unwarranted criticism, which is reaching the people with sanatana Hindu Dharma campaign. He appealed to Swamiji that with your blessings, TTD will re-engage in the Dharma Prachara by taking your suggestions and instructions as law.
Karunakara Reddy said that if any mistakes have been made from their side, they are ready to correct them if they are given appropriate suggestions and advice.
The three-day conference will end on Monday.
Deans (Peetadhipathi's) and Abbots (Matadhipathi's) from different parts of the country attended.
