TTD departments gear up for annual Brahmotsavams in Tirumala

Tirumala: As less than two weeks are left for the annual event of Navahnika Brahmotsavams of Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy, all departments in TTD are gearing up for the smooth conduct of the nine day religious event, said, Tirumala Special Officer, AV Dharma Reddy.

After three hour long review meeting on Brahmotsavams and other development activities, at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the SO spoke to media persons and said, all the works pertaining to annual Brahmotsavams will be completed by September 25.

The trail run of the vahanams including Garuda vahanam was also conducted keeping all the vahanms ready ahead of Brahmotsavam while the repair works in the Mada Streets and in the galleries and basic facilities like drinking water supply and toilets were provided, he said.

The TTD is now heading towards cashless payments and it was commenced two weeks ago at accommodation counters which has given fruitful results. "An application exclusively for Locker Governing System and Darshan Governing System was also brought under use, he added.

CE Ramachandra Reddy, Additional CVSO Sivakumar Reddy, Temple DyEO Harindranath, IT Head Sesha Reddy and others were present.
