TTD all set to conduct Darshan trial run in Tirumala

Vigilance and Security wing deployed trained staff at Alipiri Chekpost to check the devotees as per Covid-19 protocols

Tirupati: TTD All set to conduct Darshan trial run in Tirumala Srivari temple from June 8. For these Devasthanam officials made elaborate arrangements at Tirumala as well as in Tirupati Alipiri Check Post. Which the gateway of Tirumala hill shrine Aliprii Check Point was transformed as foolproof COVID-19 safety measures following checkpoint.

It may be noted that every devotee has to go to Tirumala via Alipiri Check Post only, in view of that TTD took all the safety measures here to check the devotees who will come from across the state from June 11th.

The entrance of the Tirumala 2nd ghat road at Alipiric Check Point TTD already placed required thermal scanners, sanitizers, hand wash kits, gloves for the usage of Security Personnel. And also arranged vehicles sanitisation channel with required chemicals to sanitise the vehicles which will come from outside. According to information before the vehicles, entry into ghat road TTD Security officials will check devotees online darshan tickets and room accommodation confirmation. On the basis of darshan confirmation tickets, only security staff will allow devotees to Tirumala. Otherwise, devotees would be stopped at Alipiri Check Point. Only 6000 devotees will be allowed per day to hill shrine for Srivari Darshan.


In this regard TTD Chief Security and Vigilance Officer Gopinath Jetti, IPS visited the Alipiri Check Point on Saturday and carefully examined the protection arrangements from coronavirus spread.

And also he has given instructions to SPF Police and TTD security staff over how to handle the Devotees ruing the checking time at Alipiri. To avoid delay in devotees checking TTD placed door frame metal detectors at adjacent of the vehicles entry point to check everyone thoroughly. In view of that TTD has deployed sufficient medical teams and trained security staff who were trained in COVID -19 safety measures to cope with the devotees smoothly during checking time. And also CVSO Jetti strictly said that devotees at above 60 years age and below 10 years children will be not allowed for darshan as per Government of India, Ministry of Health guidelines.


At the same time in Tirumala GNC toll gate also vigilance officials made arrangements to collect random blood samples if any suspect case will be noticed during checking time. For this TTD health department has taken steps to collect samples from Devotees as well as its employees. In fact, already new checking methods were implemented by security staff at Alipiri Check Post for the last three days. They have been checking on-duty staff who are going to the hill shrine to discharge their duties.
