Tirupati: TDP alleges graft of Rs 307 crore in '108' vehicles contract
Tirupati: Former Tirupati MLA M Sugunamma has demanded an enquiry by central government into the corruption charges on `108' ambulance vehicles.
Speaking to the media in Tirupati on Tuesday, she said that the state government has resorted to corruption to the tune of Rs.307 crores in the allotment of 108 vehicles to Aurobindo foundation which belongs to the son in law of YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy.
During the TDP government regime, GVK EMRI has spent Rs.1.31 lakh for the maintenance of each ambulance, whereas Aurobindo foundation was given permissions to spend Rs.1.78 lakh for new ambulances and Rs.2.21 lakhs for old vehicles, she alleged.
The government is attacking the opposition leaders who question this corruption, she said.
