Tirupati: MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Wednesday distributed entails including rice, wheat, pulses and oil to the employees working in 108 Ambulance Service. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that 108 employees were crucial in the fight against Covid-19 and they were responsible for the risky shifting of suspected and also affected patients to hospitals and back home after treatment.

108 service district manager Devi Prasad and Employees Association general secretary Rasool lamented that despite the 108 service employees rendering highly risky task in the battle on Covid-19, they are remaining unrecognised and unappreciated and sought the moral support of the public to work with renewed vigour for the service of Covid-19 patients.

BJP activists and Frien ds Association here on Wednesday distributed essentials to migrant labourers from Jharkhand, Bihar, Rajasthan and others states. With the government delaying the sending of migrant workers by train to various places, the workers are suffering with no adequate food, BJP leader Munisubramanyam said adding that RSS leader Ganpati Singh Rajpurohit and other helped them assemble the migrant workers from the north for providing them the much needed essentials.

Munisubramanyam sought the district authorities expedite the arrangements for sending back the migrant labourers eager to return home.
