Tirumala: In a traditional practice, TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy along with Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal presented Pattu Vastrams to Sri Ranganadha Swamy at Srirangam in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. On the auspicious day of Kaisika Ekadasi every year, TTD offers Pattu Vastrams to the presiding deity in Srirangam. Bokkasam Incharge Gururaja and other officials of TTD accompanied them.
The TTD Chairman, EO and other officials were accorded traditional welcome by the priests and Srirangam temple Chairman Venu Srinivasan on their arrival at the entrance of the temple. For the past two-decades, TTD has been presenting Pattu Vastrams to this famous temple in Tamil Nadu on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Ekadasi.
To reciprocate the offerings made by TTD, Sri Rangam Devasthanams offers Pattu Vastrams to Srivaru during auspicious day of Anivara Asthanam in Tirumala every year.
TTD Chairman Subba Reddy recently stated that TTD would consider the possibility of keeping open Vaikunta Dwaram in Tirumala temple for 10 days, after studying the practices in other Vaishnava temples. The visit of TTD Chairman, EO and other officials to Sri Rangam temple gains importance in this regard.
