Temple works inspected at Vontimetta in Kadapa district

Vontimitta (Kadapa): TTD Executive Officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singhal on Saturday directed officials to focus on enhancing the architectural beauty of Kodandarama Swamy Temple at Vontimetta in Kadapa district which was brought under the TTD management, four year back for development of the famous shrine to become AP Bhadradri.

Inspecting the developmental works of Kalyanam Vedika at Vontimetta ahead of Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavam and Sitarama Kalyanam on April 18 along with JEO Lakshmikantham, the EO said all works should be completed in time and the Dwajasthambam should appear more shining.

He wanted officials to take colourful floral and electrical decorations in such a way that the wirings and the pillars should be covered completely.

The EO also asked officials to promote a green landscape in the open space between the temple, Kalyana mandapam and the Pushkarani and the compound wall removed to give huge congregation of devotees a whole some view of the colourful event.

Singhal has released the wall posters and booklets of Kodandarama Swamy Temple Brahmotsavam and Sri Rama Navami celebrations to be held at Vontimetta.

The prominent events of Brahmotsavam are Dwajarohanam (April 13) marking the beginning of the annual religious celebrations, Hanumantha Vahanam (April 16), Kalyanotsavam (April 18), Rathotsavam (April 19), and Chakra Snanam on April 21.

TTD CVSO Gopinath Jetty, Chief Engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy and TTD officials accompanied EO Singhal in the inspection of works which are going on in full swing.
