TDP protests at assembly against shortage of sand and new sand policy in Andhra

Telugu Desam Party leaders, led by chief Chandrababu Naidu, staged a protest against the shortage of sand and the new sand policy brought by the YSRCP government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. A protest rally was held with construction tools and gold measuring scales. They TDP leaders have protested alleging that construction workers had lost their jobs due to rising sand prices and shortages. They criticised that the sand, which used to be free, has become heavier today.

They said that due to the sand problem in the state, 30 lakh people have lost works directly or indirectly and are concerned that the situation has become miserable. TDP alleged that without announcing the new policy, the free sand policy implemented by the TDP was abolished. Chandrababu Naidu was incensed that it had created an artificial shortage. The TDP has accused the government as the reason for construction workers committing suicide.

Naidu recalled that the government itself had admitted in the press that the sand policy they had brought was a corrupt policy. Leaders allege that the J Tax was being collected for last 18 months went to J-Tax. TDP leaders demanded that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to implement a free sand policy in the state.
