Amaravati: The TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu lambasted the state government for lodging a criminal case against a sixty-year-old lady, who questioned the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in LG Polymers gas leak tragedy in Visakhapatnam recently. Naidu observed that Jagan was trying to suppress the voice of the public, in a statement on Tuesday.

Naidu said that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was not to take criticism in a positive way because he was being blinded by the arrogance of power.

He strongly objected to the CID issuing notice to the elderly woman P Ranganayakamma in Guntur, for her social media post.

TDP Chief said, "Power is blinding the CM and his ability to take criticism. One day fate will turn its back and all this arrogance will come crashing down."

TDP Women State President Vangalapudi Anitha condemned the CID cases filed against the woman.

She said that the YSRCP Government was trampling upon the fundamental rights of the people as was evident from how Ranganayakamma was implicated in false cases for questioning the Government on LG Polymers gas tragedy.

On the other hand, Naidu said that the electricity bills were increased by three to four times in AP even though the common public were not able to bear any new financial burden in view of the Coronavirus epidemic lockdowns.

He said that the irrational rise in electricity bills with changes in slabs was pushing all sections of people into greater crisis.
