TDP MLA Vamsi finds himself on horns of dilemma

Vijayawada: TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan is in a Catch-22 situation. Though he met Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy recently, indicating that he would shift his loyalties, he has not so far made efforts to join the YSR Congress. According to the source, he is in a state of confusion.

Amidst the controversy, the majority of rank and file of TDP in Gannvaram constituency met party president N Chandrababu Naidu two days ago during the Krishna district party review meeting. Vamsi was not present at the meeting.

Several leaders came forward take over the responsibility of the Gannavaram TDP party affairs.

Already the rank and file of the TDP proposed the names of the leaders like former ZP chairperson Gadde Anuradha, TDP State Yuvatha president Devineni Avinash, former Minister Devineni Uma and former MLA Muddaraboyina Venkateswara Rao as Gannavaram constituency in-charge, if Vamsi quits the party. The followers of Vamsi are also not willing to shift the loyalties to YSR Congress.

On the other hand, Vamsi's comments in the past against the YSR Congress are making rounds on social media creating an embarrassing situation both to the TDP MLA and the YSR Congress leaders.

In the video footage, Vamsi had made scathing accusations against Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and referred disproportionate assets case against him. The video is doing rounds on the social media after Vamsi meeting Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas met Vamsi and discussed the issue. Later, the MP also said that the MLA should take a decision and the TDP has clarity about the present situation. Sources said Vamsi may announce his decision soon.
