Tallarevu : `40,000 worth NDPL destroyed

Tallarevu : (Kakinada District) Kakinada police and SEB officials under the supervision of Admin SP P Srinivas destroyed non-duty paid liquor (NDPL) worth about Rs 40,000 at Tallarevu in the district on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media, ASP Srinivas said that as per the directives of District Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath Babu, police and SEB officials have conducted raids and inspections in various parts of the district and seized large quantities of illicit liquor since 2019. A total of 17,946 liquor bottles of various brands seized in 1,135 cases (other State NDPL cases and Duty Paid Liquor without seals cases) were destroyed.
