SWUF to intensify stir demanding house sites to TTD employees

Tirupati: TTD Staff and Workers United Front (SWUF) resolved to fight with renewed vigour to achieve the long pending demands of the employees including house sites to TTD employees which is pending for the last 25 years.

SWUF affiliated to CITU held 35th annual meeting here on Sunday and discussed the pending demands of TTD employees - house sites, filling up the vacant posts, promotions and better medical facility.

The meet also demanded the TTD to provide time-scale to the contract employees working in various departments. SWUF president M Nagarjuna said that the United Front would strive to bring unity among the employees unions in TTD for a joint agitation to achieve the pending demands. He criticised the apathy of the management for taking up recruitment to fill 6,000 vacant posts in TTD. .

CITU general secretary K Murali said that the TTD management instead of focusing on improving facilities to pilgrims and improving employees working conditions, giving preference to VIPs.

He flayed the TTD management policy to engage Srivari Sevak volunteers in more and more works to get free service and to avoid recruitment to fill the vacant posts. Local MLA B Karunakar Reddy who was present at the inaugural of the meet assured to take up the employees issues to TTD management.
