'Sunrise AP' turned 'Suicide AP' under YS Jagan, alleges Anuradha
Amaravati: TDP general secretary Panchumarthi Anuradha on Thursday accused the YSRCP government of achieving nothing for Andhra Pradesh except bringing in a new era of demolitions and destruction besides insurmountable financial crisis and debts.
Anuradha demanded the ruling party to publish a white paper on the non-stop murders, suicides and suicide attempts that were continue among the Muslim minorities, Dalits, BCs, farmers, construction workers and all sections of society. The people, who gave a landslide victory, were now stuck in deepening life and death problems under the oppressive rule of the YSRCP, she said.
Addressing a press conference here at Mangalagiri, Anuradha said that N Chandrababu Naidu strove hard and moulded Andhra Pradesh into a 'Sunrise AP' during his five-year rule. But now, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy followed all sorts of retrogressive and reverse policies only to reduce the 'Sunrise AP' into a 'Suicide AP'. The State was being destroyed in all sectors. The people were facing untold misery and suffering like never before.
The TDP leader deplored that economy, development and construction sectors completely collapsed while caste-based attacks continued against Dalits, BCs and minorities. The Asha, Anganwadi and NREGS workers were facing untold problems. A young man named Venkatesh committed suicide due to lack of work opportunities on account of collapse of construction sector. All this happened because of sand shortage which was created by the YSRCP government, she alleged.
Anuradha said that in just one-and-a-half years, the ruling YSRCP made over Rs 1 lakh crore debts. In doing so, the CM created a record of his own. His government's atrocities led to suicides by over 750 farmers. He was not at all bothered and not changing his decisions though over 90 Amaravati farmers died ever since the agitation started against the 3 capitals plan, she added.
