Students participating in summer art camp

Vijayawada: A four-day summer art camp for the students of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Vidya Vihar (SKCV-Amodini girls home) organised by Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) in association with Sarvodaya Marketing concluded here on Thursday. NSRK Prasad, director, Mice Academy and past president, Rotary Club of Vijayawada was the chief guest of the occasion. He said that a little push brings lot of creative zeal among the students in arts and crafts.

Dr Sivanagireddy, CEO, CCVA and coordinator of the art camp presented a report on the training activities such as drawing and painting by artists namely Kolusu Subrahmanyan, Malleswararao Venugopalarao and P Srujan and storytelling by Ch Sneha Chinmayi and craft work including pot decoration, clay modelling and paper flowers and art items with waste materials by Dr NVPS Mahalaxmi, Bhavani Padmaja and Madhuri.

He also said that a good number of sketches, art works and craft items are created by the girl students that are displayed in the exhibition at CCVA. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Tirumala Srinivas, director, Malaxmi Infra limited. Dr A Sridharreddy, chairman of SKCV said that such art and craft camps should frequently be organised to bring out innate skills of the girl students and thanked the organisers.

Certificates were distributed to the participants by Jayantilal Jain Bhandari, Sarvodaya Marketing, Chimpirayya, Zayed, Gangadhar and Chaitanya of Malaxmi group. Prasanna, Pushpavani and Srinivas from SKCV and Chandu Kartik, Durgasagar and Narayanarao of Cultural Centre participated in the programme.
