Students briefed on police activity: SP

Eluru: In the wake of ensuing police commemoration week during October 15 to 21, the district police conducted an awareness drive for schoolchildren on a grand scale to help them understand the activities of the police at different schools in the district on Wednesday and Thursday.

Following orders from Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal, the police, under their respective police station limits conducted an awareness programme for schoolchildren wherein they were briefed on duties of the police and weapons they use. This helped the students to know more about the activities of the police and their role in maintaining law and order.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP announced that the police would conduct blood donation camps, traffic awareness rallies, competitions to students and other activities during the commemoration week.
