Strive to meet expectations of people, SP tells cops

Chittoor: Superintendent of Police S Senthil Kumar stressed on the need for friendly relationship between police and people. Frequent meetings and workshops will be held in the district to improve relations between police and public, he said.

The SP addressed a workshop held at Nagaiah Kalakshethram here on Friday in which people of various walks of life were present. Additional SP E Supraja has earlier explained the objective of conducting the work shop as part of Police Commemoration Week.

Senthil Kumar stressed on the need for the police to work up to the expectations of the people. `` We have to correct ourselves and rise to the expectations of the people. The people should know the practical difficulties of the police," said.

He called upon the participants of the work shop to express their views on the police department so that steps will be taken to mould the department. Several students , teachers, business men, advocates , employees and those from voluntary organisations have taken part in the work shop .

Earlier SP visited the Bloood Donation Camp held at Police Welfare Hospital in which several police men, students and employees have donated blood.
