Stray cattle to be shifted to cattle shed: V Prasanna Venkatesh

Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner V Prasanna Venkatesh visited the site adjacent to fish market at Rajarajeswaripeta on Thursday as part of the city visit. The Commissioner instructed the Executive Engineer and the veterinary surgeon to take necessary measures to erect cattle shed with all infrastructural arrangements in two days.

He said that in spite of repeatedly warning the owners of cattle, they have been freely leaving the cattle on the roads damaging the greenery, creating traffic problems and hampering cleanliness in the city.

He ordered the concerned to take action by conducting a special drive and divert the cattle on the roads to the cattle shed. He further informed the owners of the cattle to keep the cattle with them, failing which huge fines will be imposed.

Later, the Commissioner visited KT road in one-town. On observing huge silt and garbage in the side canals, he instructed the concerned officials to take action to clear the garbage for the free flow of drain water. Veterinary surgeon Sridhar, sanitary inspectors and others accompanied him.
