ST Colony primary school lacks basic facilities

Tadepalli: Rambabu, one of the two teachers at the primary school in ST Colony in Tadepalli, thanked the government for introducing Amma Vodi scheme which helped to enrol more students in the school.

He said there used to be around 15 students in the school including from the first class to fifth class. Two teachers are taking care of all of the five classes. Now, with the Amma Vodi scheme, the school has enrolled nearly 40 students and the number is going to improve further if the scheme gets wider publicity, he said.

However, the government needs to appoint more teachers for the school to handle the students, if more students are going to join, Ramababu said. Moreover, the school needed to be given more facilities. There is no bathroom and drinking water facility for the school. The school needs a compound wall to keep off the stray animals.
